Background

TCDSB Student Achievement Plan

We've developed a comprehensive Student Achievement Plan (SAP) aimed at evaluating student success across three pivotal areas including: Student Achievement, Preparation of Students for Future Success and Student Engagement and Well-Being. We’re conducting a survey to gather parent/guardian and TCDSB community feedback on the proposed plan, which can be viewed HERE.

Why is this important?
The Ministry of Education requires school boards to develop Student Achievement Plans and to engage with stakeholders for feedback. Your feedback will help us identify strengths and effectively address areas needing improvement to better support students.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board's Student Achievement Plan is developed in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s priorities and the Board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan to foster improved student outcomes across all grade levels.

The SAP aims to evaluate student success across three pivotal areas including:

  • Student Achievement
  • Preparation of Students for Future Success
  • Student Engagement and Well-Being

Purpose:

  • Establish a consistent set of performance indicators focused on student achievement and mental health and well-being
  • Support data-informed strategic planning and policy development
  • Encourage meaningful involvement from families and communities, while promoting transparency across school boards
