Community Engagement on Long-Term Accommodation and Program Plan
The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is seeking community engagement on its Long-Term Accommodation and Program Plan (LTAPP). The LTAPP is a key plan that helps the Board adapt to Toronto’s constant growth and change.
Purpose:
- To develop a comprehensive 15-year plan that helps the Board prioritize and guide decisions for student accommodation and programming.
Background
Every five years, the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) develops a Long-Term Accommodation and Program Plan (LTAPP) to shape the future of schools and programs over the next 15 years. This plan looks at things like student accommodation, facility use optimization, existing program distribution and programming considerations. It supports the Board’s mission to nurture faith and academic excellence in a Catholic learning community and aligns with the Board’s long-term goals and the three key pillars of its Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP): Learning, Equity, and Well-Being.
The LTAPP aims to:
- Ensure fair and equal access to educational programs for all students.
- Make the best use of school facilities by analyzing enrolment trends and demographic data.
- Reviewing changes in enrolment and boundary implications.
- Plan for future needs, including new schools or school expansions.
- Explore opportunities for partnerships and community use of school spaces.
